International undergraduate Admissions

  • Admission Requirements for UG Program
    • Candidates with O-Level certificate must have a minimum aggregate GPA of 2.50 with 5 (five) subjects.
    • Candidates with A-Level certificate must have a minimum aggregate GPA of 2.50 with 2 (two) subjects.
    • Candidates with Higher Secondary certificate must have a minimum aggregate GPA of 2.50 out of GPA 4.00 or at least 2nd division.  
    • Candidates with an International Baccalaureate (IB) need to have at least DP score of 24.

    Note

    • At least 12-year schooling is essential for admission in undergraduate program.
    • In special case, if GPA is below 2.5 then minimum GPA 2.00 and total (Secondary and Higher Secondary) GPA 6.00 is required.
  • Admission Scholarship/Waiver Structure
    • In ULAB’s international student admission policy, ULAB is committed to providing equal opportunities for all students regardless of their nationality.
      As part of this commitment, ULAB offers an admission scholarship/waiver structure where international students have the opportunity to study at the same tuition fees as local students.
      Additionally, international students are eligible to avail themselves of all other scholarship opportunities that are available for local students.
      This approach ensures fairness, inclusivity, and access to educational resources for all students, fostering a diverse and vibrant academic community.
  • Documents Required
    • Scanned attested copy of Secondary and Higher Secondary School Certificate and Transcript or O/Level and A/Level Certificate and Transcript (up to 12 class certificate). If the original copy is written in a foreign language that is not English, applicants must provide a certified translation.
    • A statement confirming the medium of instruction is English. TOEFL/IELTS score may be required to fulfill English proficiency level, if the previous medium of instruction was not in English. The minimum acceptable score for IELTS is 5.5 and for TOEFL is 500. 
    • Scanned copy of information page of valid Passport with at least 1 year validation
    • Passport size photograph (1 copy).
    • Health checkup/medical certificates
  • Application and Admission Process

    Step 01

    Send the mentioned documents (under DOCUMENTS REQUIRED clause) to International Affairs Office (IAO) of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) via email at oia@ulab.edu.bd.

    Step 02

    1. Receive the offer letter via email issued by the International Affairs Office after it is approved by the respective Program Office of ULAB.
    2. Apply for a student visa to the nearest Bangladesh Embassy. The International Affairs Office may assist the student in applying for the student visa. However, the student will have to manage the visa by himself/herself.
    3. Send your flight ticket to the International Affairs Office (oia@ulab.edu.bd)at least 2-days before your departure. You will receive a details of a contact person who will be assisting you to enter to Bangladesh (for immigration at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and campus tour).

    Step 03

    After your safe arrival in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the International Affair Office of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) will assist you to complete admission process by the guidance of Admission Office.

    Scholarships/Waiver Policy for Undergraduate Admission

    • 100% tuition scholarship for students with GPA5.0 both in SSC & HSC without 4th subject;
    • 100% tuition scholarship for 5 A’s in O-Level in one sitting& 2 A’s in A-Level in one sitting;
    • 40% tuition scholarship for students with GPA 5.0 both in SSC/O level & HSC/A level or equivalent results;
    • 40% tuition scholarship for siblings/spouse;
    • 40% tuition scholarship for ULAB /GEMCON employee ward/spouse;
    • Up to 20% tuition scholarship for students with English medium school background;
    • 10% tuition scholarship for students with English version background;
    • 20% tuition scholarship if average GPA 4.50-4.99 on SSC/O level & HSC/A level or equivalent results;
    • 15% tuition scholarship if average GPA 4.00-4.49 on SSC/O level & HSC/A level or equivalent results;
    • 10% tuition scholarship for BBA students from Science background with average GPA 3.0 in SSC/O level & HSC/A level or equivalent results;
    • 10% tuition scholarship for female students;

    Note

    1. Other than 100% scholarship cases; a cap of 40% scholarships shall be in place for the rest.
    2. Students taking remedial courses in Mathematics (BBA only) & English based on admission test results are to pay Taka 13,500 for each course.
    3. Students will have to pay Tk.1000 as language lab (English Zone) fees in the first two terms.
    4. Students will have to pay CSO & CCO activity fees of Tk.1000 per term.
    5. Students will have to pay Tk. 3000 as Essential Skills fees in the first four terms. (Study Skills, Healthy Life Skills, Social Skills, and Professional Skills)
